Pardus 21.1 is a minor version release. To observe the changes made, it is sufficient to keep your Pardus 21 installed system up-to-date.

The Main Changes

  • Visual and functional improvements were made in the Pardus Software Center application.
  • The https://apps.pardus.org.tr web page, which works in integration with the Pardus Software Center, was prepared and published.
  • Added more capabilities with the interface to the startup repair app.
  • Visual and functional improvements were made in the Pardus Live Installation tool.
  • Visual and functional improvements were made in the Pardus Package Installer application.
  • Pardus Power Manager application has been developed visually and functionally.
  • The ability to take screenshots has been added to the Pardus Pen application.
  • Improvements were made to the pre-defined Pardus interface theme used in Xfce and Gnome desktop environments.
  • Added “Print File(s)” option to right click menu in Xfce desktop environment.
  • Updates were made to the pre-defined Pardus icon theme used in Xfce and Gnome desktop environments.
  • Pardus Software Center integration was made to the Gnome settings application.
  • The problem of printing e-mail as a file in the new version of the Evolution application has been fixed by patching.
  • The 802.1x problem in the interface at the new version of the NetworkManager application has been fixed by patching.
  • Pardus boot animation has been made to work more harmoniously with high resolution screens.
  • Eraser abilities that caused confusion in the Draw application were patched and made more useful.
  • Added Notes (xfce4-notes) application to the repository.
  • Added new external third party applications (SQLiteStudio, Ventoy, RealVNC, pgAdmin4, Pinta, Robo 3, Signal Desktop, AppImageLauncher, FreeOffice…) to the repository
  • Updated external third-party packages (Android Studio, PyCharm, Google Chrome, Discord, AnyDesk, TeamViewer, Steam, VS Code …) available in the repository.
  • Backports repository is also released for Pardus 21.
  • The current (unstable) version of LibreOffice has been added to the repository.
  • The default internet browser Firefox version has been upgraded to 91.4.
  • The Linux Kernel version has been upgraded to 5.10.0-10.
  • Updates containing more than 150 packages and patches were brought to the installed system.
  • More than 1500 packages have been updated in the repository.
