Remote management system with a central database of policies to be applied to client terminals. Policies are not lists of commands and scripts but tasks and parameters. Task enforcers (agents) works on terminals, where they sync with policy server regularly and have their own process and parameters. Then they execute relevant modules and apply the given policy to the system.

PTSP (Pardus Terminal Server Project) targets to achieve easy-to-install and easy-to-administrate networks and servers for thin clients with administration scripts and GUI’s.
With the help of Pardus technologies such as PiSi, Müdür, Coolplug, Zorg and Comar, infrastructure can be loaded after boot easily.
LTSP/PTSP
Altough there is a strong alternative as LTSP, PTSP was needed. LTSP, offers a Perl based package management of its own. ltsp admin tool creates a LTSP spesific root filesystem. These spesifications makes updates and distribution compatibality difficult. Additionally configuration and administration scripts are quite complex comparing to the PTSP.
Pardus technologies generally prefers Python. LTSP generally offers complex and hard-to-maintain shell scripts. On PTSP, with the help of Zorg, Müdür and Comar, all configuration and management tasks of thin clients can be achieved by standard Pardus packages.
